More than sixty years ago, at the close of World War II, Vincenzo Paragano embarked on the dream of starting his own construction business; which he began to operate from his home in Irvington NJ with an old pick-up truck, an ethic for hard work and the dream of a better life for his family. Then in the early 1950′s “Vincent Paragano and Son” became a reality and a highly respected family-operated business specializing in custom home building.
Following the death of the business’ founder, Vincenzo Paragano, his son, Nazario (N. Larry Paragano Sr.) took over company operations and guided the company into the 1960′s; with the purchase, development, building and selling of more than 500 custom built homes. In its residential heyday, the company, Paragano Building Corporation, was engaged in the construction of over twenty-five homes annually for an elite clientele.
In the late 1960′s Nazario (Larry Sr.), shifted the focus of the company to encompass commercial development; specifically industrial and multi-family residential properties. This diversification marked the beginning of what ultimately became the main focus of the evolving organization, Paragano Enterprises.
Throughout the 1970′s and the early 1980′s, Paragano purchased, developed and renovated a significant number of commercial properties; some of which are still in the company portfolio today. By the mid 1980′s Paragano Enterprises evolved into a full service commercial development, investment and property management company with nearly one million square feet of office, industrial and retail space purchased, managed and/or renovated.
Paragano Associates was formed when Nazario (Larry Sr.) made a decision to transfer ownership of several of the commercial properties to his five children.
Solidly built on the history, reputation and strong family values of the company’s founding father, the organization continues in the tradition of a friendly, family owned and operated business that maintains its commitment to deliver quality, value and service with a personal touch to their clients.
